The Last Song made about $7 million at the box office on Friday, and is predicted to earn $16 million for the weekend according to Deadline.

This would bring the five day total to about $25 million, which would be a pretty good opening for this type of movie.

The Last Song Opening Day Box Office

The Last Song made $5,125,103 at the Box Office on opening day Wednesday, and $4,262,512 on Thursday. This result is pretty good for a weekday opening for this type of movie. The Hannah Montana movie made over 17 million on opening day, but that was on a Friday. If The Last Song keeps up this pace it could be looking at a $30 million opening weekend, which would be very good.

Poor Reviews for The Last Song

The new Miley Cyrus movie The Last Song is getting poor reviews by critics. On the day of release for the film in North America, it is currently tracking at only 13 percent positive reviews at Rotten Tomatoes. Six out of 47 critics tracked have given it a positive review.

The critics have been equally hard on Miley's performance, many saying that she did a better job in The Hannah Montana Movie last year. That movie also did better with the critics overall getting 44% positive reviews.
