Billboard Update - Album Sales

Featuring dance remixes of the original "Hannah Montana 2" Disney soundtrack, the "Hannah Montana 2: Non-Stop Dance Party" album sold 40,000 copies this week and debuted at #7 on the Billboard chart.

The "Hannah Montana 2 (Soundtrack)/Meet Miley Cyrus" CD was #10 on the chart selling about 35,000 copies. This is the CD's 32nd week on the chart and it's still in the top 10!

Also, Miley's single See You Again has reached #17 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The single is up 11 spots from last week when it was #28. At this rate the song will be top 10 in no time.

Extreme Makeover Home Edition

Just a reminder that Miley will be on this weeks episode of Extreme Makeover Home Edition. The show is on Sunday at 8/7c. Get your DVR's ready, because this is the same time that Miley will be at the Grammys.

Miley will be at the Grammys

Miley Cyrus will be at the Grammys on Sunday. It was confirmed by Jack Sussman, CBS’ executive vice president of specials, music, and live events in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

The article didn't really make it clear if Miley will be performing or not, but I think there's a good chance she will be.

The Grammys are Sunday, February 10, 2008 at 8pm on CBS. Other featured guests include Alicia Keys, Carrie Underwood, Prince, Rihanna, John Legend, Fergie, Tina Turner, Beyonce, and Nelly Furtado.

Hannah Montana themed makeovers soon to be offered at Disney's Hollywood Studios

According to Jim Hill Media, Hannah Montana and High School Musical makeovers will soon be available at Disney's Hollywood Studios:

"The Walt Disney World Resort is looking to expand its super-popular chain of Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutiques (You know? Those Disney Princess-themed beauty parlors? The first of which opened at Downtown Disney's World of Disney superstore back in April of 2006, while the second opened inside of the Magic Kingdom's Cinderella Castle this past September). And the current plan calls for yet another of these establishments to be built inside of the studio theme park. Only this time around, you won't find Belle, Ariel or Jasmine-themed makeovers on the menu. But -- rather -- your daughter will be able to choose a hair style or an outfit that will then make her look like Gabriella or Sharpay from the "High School Musical" films. Or -- better yet -- Hannah Montana herself."

Hannah Montana a hit with Girl Scouts

Hannah Montana has become so popular that Girl Scout troops are having special events to celebrate the spirit of Hannah Montana:

"Amid a sea of blond wigs and high-pitched squealing that can only be produced from pre-teen vocal chords, troop leaders and volunteers did their best to bring some semblance of order to 250 Girls Scouts who wanted to be Hannah Montana for a day.

The Girls Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois held their first ever "Best of Both Worlds" Hannah Montana event Saturday afternoon at the Howard Johnson Inn, which included a variety of activities like dancing, necklace making and a Hannah Montana look-a-like contest.

"The girls have embraced her (Hannah Montana), and we just want to show that she's a good role model," said regional program manager Tammy Allison."

Hannah Montana Movie Officially Extended

Yesterday I heard some rumors that the Hannah Montana / Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert movie would be extended past the original one-week only theater run.

Today those rumors were confirmed, as an AP article reported, "Distributor Disney planned to have the movie out for only a week but now has decided to keep it in theaters until it runs its course."

So if you were unable to get tickets to the movie this week, it looks like you will have a few more weeks to go out and see the movie.

Rumors of Hannah Montana Movie being extended past one week

There are rumors floating around that the Hannah Montana / Miley Cyrus Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour movie will be in theaters longer than the original one week period that it was supposed to be. There have been reports of individual theaters choosing to run the movie for two weeks. There is also a rumor that Disney has extended the run to three weeks for all theaters.

It is good that fans will have an extended time to see the movie, but it is a little bit unfair to those who rushed out and changed their plans to see the movie the first week when they just could have waited.

These are just rumors though, I have not seen anything official yet.
